The Art of Growing Grapes
Growing grapes is an art, that until the recent wine boom, was left to the green thumb gardener, or the vineyards of the wine producers. Now that wine consuming has become more of a mainstream event, many curious folks are now interested in growing their own grapes. I can say without a doubt, that few things that you grow will give you more satisfaction, and sheer enjoyment, than watching a small seedling grow over the years into a major producing grape vine. It truly will become a labor of love for you to enjoy for many years.
Wine is not however, the only reason people want to grow grapes, many folks just want to enjoy them for themselves, to eat whole or to put in jams and jellies, or dry them into raisins.
